Description
A car park intercom enables a car park user of a hotel or conference venue to communicate with designated staff or employees. The nature of their external installation means that hearing-impaired people often have great difficulty understanding a caller heard from a small loudspeaker against the background of surrounding noise.
Contacta's IL-EL42-PB integrated induction loop is the perfect solution for hearing-impaired people with hearing aids or T-coil implants. The module integrates easily into existing intercom installations. The housing has an IP55 rating and is designed for direct surface mounting next to the intercom. A PF version for flush mounting is also available.
Both modules are marked with a T. The input signal is taken from the line output, if the intercom does not have one then the sound is taken directly from the speaker terminals. The amplifier's fully isolated inputs ensure trouble-free and safe operation with any type of intercom. The built-in AGC function continuously adjusts the gain to the signal level, so installation and commissioning is very simple. The module only requires a DC 14V/2.1A power supply and connection to the audio source from the door entry unit or video intercom. The inductophone loop meets the IEC 60118-4 bandwidth requirements. The effective operating range is 120 cm from the housing, providing full comfort of support in the normal position of a person standing at the intercom. The recommended mounting height is 170 cm from the ground.
