Smart Home
Multi-room home sound systems make it possible to listen to sounds from a single source in several rooms.
A multi-room system is a solution that combines a single sound source (tuner, CD or DVD player or server with audio or video files) with a multi-zone amplifier, i.e. an amplifier that sends independent signals to several sets of speakers located in different rooms. The most important benefit of a multi-room system is the ability to listen to sound throughout the house without having to buy multiple amplifiers, players and tuners.
The simplest smart home systems allow you to switch the sound source on and off and control the volume independently in each zone (room), the more complex ones allow you to listen in each sound source from a different source or different sound files from a single multi-stream server, and the most complex ones send information about the tracks being played to the controlling controller. Then, from its display, it is possible to read out the playback time, the names of the songs, browse through their lists and view album covers.
