Mixers and distributors
Sound mixers are devices that allow multiple signals to be summed in the required proportions. They usually also allow for tone correction, stereo signal panning or the grouping of signals into zones.
The selection of a suitable sound mixer depends on the type of signals to be summed:
- for microphones, inputs with high sensitivity (and high gain) with the possibility to switch on phantom power (for condenser microphones) are required
- for line sources (players, radio receivers, some musical instruments) - line inputs are suitable.
Sources are connected to the mixer via XLR or TRS (jack) connectors for symmetrical signals and via RCA (cinch) connectors for unbalanced signals. It is possible to sum analogue and digital signals (S/PDIF, Dante, AES/EBU).
Advanced audio mixers that allow signals to be grouped into zones, switched together and, often, processed are audio matrices. Audio matrices are most often used in installations where the user has access to multiple sources and a number of different settings for the PA (audiovisual) system are required - which is most often achieved through a central control system that controls the operation of sources, mixers, amplifiers, projectors, screens, blinds and lighting.
Types of mixers
In our offer you will find various types of sound mixers, including:
- installation mixers - these are devices adapted for installation in a 19" rack or for discreet installation under a countertop or above a suspended ceiling, they allow for convenient volume and timbre control and operation of multiple zones
- automatic mixers - a specific type of equipment which, once configured, does not require operation - it controls the work of connected microphones according to preset parameters, preventing acoustic feedback
- audio matrices - for adding and switching audio signals in multi-zone systems, allowing the system to be controlled by external systems or applications
- stage mixers - designed for use on stages and in recording studios.
We offer a wide variety of sound mixer models from manufacturers specialising in installation equipment. Priority is given to functionality, sound quality and many years of trouble-free operation.
