The RDL FP-TPSR4A is a compact Format-A audio module combining sender and receiver functions, designed for professional AV installations, especially in hotel room audio systems. It enables both transmission and reception of audio signals over RDL’s Format-A twisted pair infrastructure.
The sender section accepts stereo line-level inputs (mini-jack or RCA) or fixed-level mono amplified signals (1–3 W), typically from hospitality TVs. It distributes the signal to two RJ45 Format-A outputs, sending the left channel to pair B and the right to pair C. Mono signals are sent to both pairs. Active balanced circuitry ensures high-fidelity, low-noise audio transmission.
The receiver section accepts signals from pairs B and C and outputs them via two RCA connectors at -10 dBV consumer level. One output connects to the TV AUX input, and the other can feed a stereo amplifier in the room.
The FP-TPSR4A is powered locally via a 24V DC supply, which also powers all connected Format-A modules. An auto-resetting fuse protects against overloads, and a front-panel LED indicates active power distribution.
