Induction loops to suit every situation
2023-08-14
Contacta offers a wide range of assistive listening devices.
Among the available solutions we can distinguish:
- surface induction loops
- individual induction loops
Types of induction loops
Surface induction loops covering a larger area allow multiple people to use them simultaneously.
These loops can be subdivided according to the way the wire is routed:
- perimetric - where the cable is run around the perimeter of the room. This is suitable for small rooms with little signal interference.
- phased - where the induction loop consists of two separate loops shifted in phase with each other in a matrix arrangement. An example of routing cables in such a loop is shown in the figure below
Phased loops are used to achieve a uniform field strength distribution.
Loop amplifiers
V7 / V15 / V22 / V34
The signle V-series amplifiers are suitable for use in small halls as well as in large venuse and auditoriums. The units are characterised by Class D efficiency and are capable of delivering a current of 5-12A RMS (depending on the model)
V15A / V22A / V34A
A series of two-channel amplifiers suitable for use in a phase-locked loop system. They will work well in large sites as well as where there is high magnetic field interference.
Individual induction loops
Portable loop IL-PL20-2
The portable loop in the form of a suitcase is a versatile solution to provide assistance to people with hearing loss in places where it is not posiible to install a permanent loop. The device has a built-in microphone and allows conversation between two people.
Stationary induction loop
Two types of solution are ideal in areas where background noise is a prolem for speech reception.
- unter-top loop installation models are devices where the cable can be installed discreetly
- models for over-the-top installation have the induction loop integrated with a sign indicating the presence of the loop
Induction loop in intercom
All Contacta intercom systemes have the option of connecting the loop directly to an amplifier.
It is possible to connect an induction loop to the wireless receivers in RF and infrared communication. The receivers have a mini-jack socket to which a headset or induction loop can be connected interchangeably.
We will help you to find and propose a suitable solution. We can prepare a simulate the operation of an indcution loop based on information about the architecture and design of the building. You are welcome.
