Barix Annuncicom 100 is a versatile Audio over IP gateway that connects IP-based systems (VoIP, paging, intercom) with traditional audio components such as microphones, speakers, or amplifiers. It supports encoding and decoding of MP3, PCM, G.711, and G.722 (hardware rev. 2.x), making it suitable for both voice communication and background music.
The device features a microphone input, line-level output, and a built-in 2W amplifier (8Ω), along with 2 contact closure inputs, 1 relay output, and RS-232/RS-485 serial ports. It supports audio streaming over TCP, UDP, RTP, and Multicast, and can act as a Shoutcast/Icecast source. Audio level monitoring with SNMP trap support enables supervision in mission-critical environments.
