CASTER X

Bettear CASTER X - Auracast transmitter with switchable antenna, black

The black Bettear CASTER X is an Auracast™ transmitter for installations where a built-in antenna is not enough. Alongside balanced analogue inputs it has an external antenna connector, and switching between the internal and external antenna is done remotely - from the web panel or the Hive Central platform. Different antenna types can also be mixed within one venue.

You can connect, for example, a directional panel antenna that aims the signal precisely at the audience, stands or platform, an omnidirectional or mast antenna, or a miniature button antenna - in which case the transmitter itself can be hidden behind a wall or in the ceiling. CASTER X sends a stereo programme or two mono programmes with very low latency, supports encryption with QR code access, timecode and a hybrid mode with the Bettear Wi-Fi system, while the LAN 2 port with PoE out (CASTER-S licence) powers and connects the next device over a single cable.
