Description

Zoned Sound System for Religious Facilities

A modern zoned sound system for religious facilities enables efficient management of sound and communication across different areas of a building and its surroundings. The solution is based on the Intusonic HMA74 audio matrix, allowing independent control of four zones, ensuring high speech intelligibility, liturgical music playback, and live service transmission.

The system is built around an audio matrix that allows flexible routing of audio sources to selected zones such as the main nave, side chapels, entrance areas, parish rooms, and outdoor spaces.

Speech Transmission and Zone Control

The system ensures clear and intelligible speech, which is essential in religious spaces. Voice signals and liturgical content can be routed to selected zones using the Intusonic HPA41 zone paging microphone. This enables precise audio distribution, for example within the church interior or extended to outdoor areas.

Music Playback and Automation

The Waves System AP420 network player enables playback of scheduled audio content such as liturgical music and informational messages. Scheduling functions simplify daily system operation and reduce the need for manual control.

The device also supports internet radio and locally stored playlists, allowing flexible use during services, community meetings, and special ceremonies.

In selected zones, the system can be extended with the Bluesound Professional B100S streamer, enabling music playback from streaming services and providing additional flexibility.

Integration of Microphones and External Sources

The system can be expanded with the Intusonic HZE11x wall panel, featuring a line input and volume control for connecting external audio sources. This allows quick use of wireless microphones - for example the Relacart UR-290D MH/T system.

This solution is particularly useful during outdoor ceremonies, processions, parish events, and services held outside the main worship space. It enables flexible use of the sound system without affecting the entire installation.

Speakers for Different Areas

The system can be adapted to different areas within the facility by selecting appropriate loudspeakers.

Auxiliary Rooms and Smaller Spaces

  • FAMA 8 - ceiling speakers for discreet sound coverage in chapels, parish rooms, and smaller interior areas

Entrance and Circulation Areas

  • Intusonic 4FP40R - wall-mounted speakers ensuring good speech intelligibility in entrance zones and corridors

Outdoor Areas

  • DSPPA DSP6050 - weather-resistant speakers designed for church surroundings, entrances, and outdoor gathering areas
