The Intusonic INTUGRID™ HMA74 is an advanced 8x4 audio matrix that serves as the central element of a digitally controlled signal distribution system, designed for professional AV installations. In combination with the HZE11 zone panel and the HPA41 paging station, it creates a scalable platform for managing background music and voice announcements in commercial, educational, business, and public utility environments. The device allows flexible routing of input signals to four independent output zones, providing extensive configuration options and ease of use for the end user.

The HMA74 model offers an extensive set of inputs - two microphone inputs on 3.5mm strips with sensitivity adjustment from the front panel and phantom power switch at the back, four stereo RCA line inputs with gain adjustment, one FOH 1/4" stereo line input, a front 3.5mm TRS input, and the ability to input signals from an external HRE11 panel. Additionally, the device is equipped with a LINKOUSTIC™ 4.2 wireless audio transmission module, enhancing integration capabilities with mobile sources.

Each of the four output zones offers a rich set of configuration tools: mono switch, 100Hz high-pass filter, maximum level adjustment, 2-band equalizer, volume adjustments for paging and emergency announcements, advanced priority settings, and microphone handling options. Full zone settings can be controlled directly from the front panel with an 8x2 LCD display and encoder, via the IR remote, or using the HZE11 wall panel, which simultaneously allows for local audio signal input.

The device also features safety functions: an emergency input that automatically replaces the main signal with an adjustable alarm signal and a mute output for silencing the system in critical situations. The cooperating HPA41 paging station allows for announcements to selected zones or zone groups and utilizes a programmable gong generator, with settings stored in EEPROM memory.

The INTUGRID™ HMA74 audio matrix is housed in a sturdy metal enclosure with detachable brackets, allowing for installation in 19" RACK cabinets or other installation configurations. The internal switch-mode power supply ensures stable and energy-efficient operation, which is crucial in systems operating continuously.
