A procedure only works if everyone hears it
The weakest link is often the moment a procedure is announced. An ordinary school bell cannot tell an evacuation apart from an instruction to stay in the classroom. And the person who spots a threat rarely has time to get to the school office.

- an alert can be triggered from a button panel, a zone microphone or the smartphone of an authorised person,
- pre-recorded messages for intrusion, lockdown and evacuation scenarios remove the need to improvise under pressure,
- strobe lights and LED displays allow a silent alert and also reach people who are hard of hearing,
- the Bodet Alert app guides staff through the safety plan step by step, sends notifications and automatically records how the incident unfolded,
- an optional monitoring station makes it possible to oversee multiple sites, for example from a municipal or district crisis management centre.
An alert can be triggered in two independent ways: with a button on site at the school, or from the app over the internet. If one route fails, the other still works, and the wired panel in the building is always available.

- Clock - one accurate time across the whole school. At the heart of the system is the Bodet Sigma master clock, which synchronises the time on every device. The time is shown on Harmonys Trio displays or on Bodet clocks in classrooms and corridors. Bells, announcements and clocks all show the same time, to the second, so no one is late because of a wrongly set clock, and lessons start and end on time in every part of the building.
- Friendly bells. Instead of a harsh ring, the school can play gentle melodies or its own recordings. The signals are calmer for pupils and teachers, and different melodies can be assigned, for example, to the start of a lesson, the end of a break or selected zones.
- Calendar. Bells follow the school-year calendar. They take holidays, days off, shortened lessons and exam days into account, so there is no need to reset or switch them off by hand.
- Event schedule. Messages and signals can be planned in advance, such as an announcement before an exam, a reminder about an assembly or music during breaks. The system plays them automatically at the scheduled time, in the selected zones.
- Calling pupils and teachers. From the zone microphone, staff can ask a specific person to come to the school office within seconds, or send a message only to a chosen classroom or corridor, without interrupting lessons across the whole school.
The same system also acts as the school PA system and works with the sports hall sound system. Staff use it every day, so in a crisis they do not have to learn how it works.
Harmonys runs on the existing IT network (PoE), so no separate infrastructure has to be built. Schools that already use Harmonys can extend their system with the Bodet Alert app.
