The Soft dB SMS-STR is a specially designed upward-firing sound masking speaker that reflects sound off the ceiling to create a smooth, diffuse ambient sound layer throughout the room. It’s ideal for open ceiling environments but can also be installed in the plenum space, suspended between acoustic tiles and the structural deck.

Thanks to its high dispersion and uniform sound field, the SMS-STR eliminates acoustic hot spots and delivers effective sound masking, clear paging, and background music. A built-in rotary power tap selector allows easy adjustment of individual speaker output levels. The speaker is available in matte white and black finishes and in a CCEA-compliant version.
