EN 17210 is a new European standard that specifies accessibility requirements for public construction contracts. All projects receiving public funding must provide accessibility including induction loops.
A basic induction loop system for a lecture or meeting room consists of a V22+ EU induction loop amplifier and a perimeter loop cable (a cable run around the perimeter of the room). For larger areas it may be necessary to use a phased cable. A sound source in the form of UR-270D wireless handheld microphones is connected to the loop amplifier.
