Induction loop in parking intercom

The parking intercom enables communication between users of a hotel or conference facility parking area and the designated staff. Due to outdoor installation, people with hearing loss often struggle to understand the caller, especially in noisy environments and when using standard small loudspeakers.

The integrated induction loop Contacta IL-EL42-PB is an effective solution for individuals using hearing aids or implants equipped with a T-coil. The module can be easily integrated with existing intercom systems. Its IP55-rated housing is designed for surface mounting next to the intercom. A flush‑mount version, IL-EL42-PF, is also available.

Both modules include the required T‑symbol marking. The input signal can be taken from the line output, or - if the intercom does not provide one - directly from the loudspeaker terminals. Fully isolated amplifier inputs ensure safe and reliable compatibility with any type of intercom system. The built‑in AGC function automatically adjusts the gain to the incoming signal, making installation and setup straightforward.

The module requires only DC 14V / 2.1A power and an audio signal connection from the external intercom or video intercom unit. The induction loop complies with the IEC 60118‑4 standard for frequency response.

The effective operating range is up to 120 cm from the housing, ensuring comfortable use in a typical standing position at the intercom. The recommended installation height is 170 cm above ground level.
