Description

The communication system can be used, for example, between a doctor-operator and a patient during medical treatments or examinations.

It is based on two dedicated RDL ST-IC1 intercom amplifiers.

► The patient's voice, picked up by a ceiling-mounted condenser microphone (e.g., BM-112 or BM-113), is transmitted to a loudspeaker in the operator's room.

► The operator can respond to the patient by pressing a button (the diagram shows a footswitch, but using the button on the TSG-200 microphone unit is more convenient).

The intercom amplifiers automatically mute the loudspeaker signal based on the button status, preventing acoustic feedback. Both amplifiers can be powered from a single 24 V DC power supply (the power line is not shown in the diagram).
