Immersive Multi-Channel Sound System 

The proposed solution is a complete, scalable immersive sound system based on eight Theory sb25 full-range loudspeakers and the multi-channel Theory DLC-250.8 amplifier with integrated DSP. The system has been designed to create spatial audio environments in commercial, educational, and exhibition applications.

Each of the eight loudspeakers operates as an independent audio channel, allowing flexible signal routing and precise sound source mapping. Proper loudspeaker placement enables a true immersive effect, enhancing listener engagement and improving spatial sound perception.

The core of the system is the Theory DLC-250.8 amplifier, equipped with an advanced, fully configurable DSP engine. It allows precise adjustment of acoustic parameters such as equalization, delay, signal levels, and channel routing, ensuring optimal performance tailored to room acoustics and project requirements.

The system uses Dante digital audio networking, providing:

• high-quality signal transmission without the losses typical of analog systems,
• full flexibility within existing LAN infrastructure,
• seamless integration with other Dante-enabled audio devices.

A multi-channel audio source can be provided by a computer running Dante Virtual Soundcard (DVS) or dedicated hardware playback devices. This allows flexible content management, including immersive soundscapes, educational materials, and public address messaging.

The installation is based on professional 16/2 OFC LSZH speaker cable, compliant with Dca-s1,d1,a1 classification according to EN50575:2014, ensuring:

• reduced smoke emission,
• zero halogen toxic gas release,

• increased safety in public buildings.

   

The system architecture allows easy expansion by adding additional amplifiers and loudspeakers. Thanks to IP-based infrastructure and Dante networking, scaling the system is fast, cost-effective, and does not require major modifications.

The solution can also be integrated with building management systems (BMS) or AV control systems, enabling centralized audio management and automation.
