RDL TX-VCR - Video Controlled Relay (BNC)

The RDL TX-VCR is a logic relay module that responds to the presence or absence of valid NTSC or PAL video signals. It is ideal for use in surveillance, video distribution, and AV automation systems where switching is required based on video signal detection.

The module features a BNC video input and a LOOP OUT jack, which can be used in bridging or terminated mode (75Ω terminator included). Detection is based on valid sync signals and is immune to 50/60 Hz hum and related interference. The TX-VCR detects signals as low as 0.5V p-p. When valid video is present, the relay activates and the SYNC LED illuminates.

The SPDT relay provides both normally-open and normally-closed contacts, allowing configuration as either a video-present or video-loss detector. The output can also be used to trigger external devices such as the RDL BZR audible alert.
