Description
RDL TX-J2 - Unbalanced Stereo to Balanced Mono Audio Input Transformer
The RDL TX-J2 is a passive audio input transformer designed for professional AV installations, allowing two unbalanced line-level stereo signals to be summed into a single balanced mono output. It provides galvanic isolation and effective hum rejection, making it ideal for integrating consumer audio sources into professional systems.
The front panel features two gold-plated RCA jacks for connecting stereo or dual mono sources. These inputs are passively mixed and balanced through high-quality audio transformers. The output is provided on a detachable terminal block, suitable for connection to equipment with 10 kΩ or higher input impedance.
The TX-J2 does not amplify the signal; it performs format conversion without gain. For applications requiring a +4 dBu balanced output or when input levels are particularly low, RDL’s TX-LC2 is recommended.
Its compact design allows flexible mounting in equipment racks or on flat surfaces using RDL mounting accessories. The TX-J2 can be used standalone or as part of a complete AV system.
