Description
RDL RU-MLB4P - bidirectional Dante 4x4 network interface for microphone and line signals with PoE power
The RDL RU-MLB4P is a bidirectional Dante audio interface from Radio Design Labs with PoE power, supporting 4 channels in each direction. The module is designed for rack enclosures, technical rooms, conference tables, shelves, and mounting panels in commercial and industrial installations. The input section converts 4 microphone or line sources - professional and consumer - into Dante channels. The type of signal for each input is set using the MIC/LINE switch on the rear panel, and the line inputs have separate terminals for balanced +4dBu and unbalanced -10dBV signals. Automatic microphone gain - 40dB for condenser microphones and 60dB for dynamic ones - along with phantom power P48 on each microphone input simplifies system setup. The output section converts 4 Dante channels to professional balanced line outputs +4dBu (at -18dBFS) with headroom above 18dB. 24-bit conversion, RDL analog filtering, and signal and network synchronization LEDs ensure high sound quality and full operational control. The RU-MLB4P can be powered via PoE (class 0, IEEE 802.3af) or from an external 24V DC power supply (available separately). When both power sources are connected, it operates from the external power supply, maintaining power reservation in the PoE switch, and smoothly switches to PoE upon loss of external power. The fully metal housing, designed and manufactured in the USA for continuous operation, allows for free-standing, surface, or rack mounting. The product comes with a 7-year manufacturer's warranty.
