RDL RU-AFC2 - Stereo Audio Format Converter

The RDL RU-AFC2 is a bi-directional stereo audio format converter designed for professional AV applications. It enables full conversion of audio signals between consumer unbalanced and professional balanced standards, both at input and output. With outstanding audio fidelity, low noise, minimal distortion, and excellent channel separation, the RU-AFC2 is ideal for demanding installation environments.

Unbalanced RCA connectors are located on the front panel, while balanced XLR connectors and detachable terminal blocks are available on both the front and rear panels. An additional MONO summed output is provided on the rear panel and can be configured as balanced or unbalanced - perfect for driving powered monitors, subwoofer amplifiers, or signal distribution points.

Each output channel features a dual-color LED VU meter - the green LED indicates signal level, while the red LED flashes at the calibrated output level (-10 dBV unbalanced or +4 dBu balanced). Output level is adjusted via precision multi-turn trimmers on the front panel.

The RU-AFC2 operates on 24 V DC and can be used standalone or integrated into a larger AV system with other RDL products.
