RDL FP-TPSR4A - dual-channel audio transmitter and receiver Format-A over twisted pair for hotel systems, FLAT-PAK series

The RDL FP-TPSR4A is a module from Radio Design Labs' FLAT-PAK series that combines an audio transmitter and receiver in one enclosure, using RDL Format-A. The device connects the television in a hotel room to listening stations and audio input panels. The transmitter section accepts a stereo line-level signal or a mono signal at a fixed level, typically from the hotel television, and distributes it over the balanced pairs B and C of twisted pair cable to 2 RJ45 Format-A outputs. The receiver section receives signals from transmitters, such as the D-TPS8A input panel for a laptop or media player, and provides it to 2 stereo RCA outputs at -10dBV. One output powers the AUX input of the television, while the other can power a stereo amplifier in the room. The module is typically mounted behind the television. A 24V DC power supply (available separately) powers both the FP-TPSR4A and all connected transmitters and receivers, simplifying installation. The compact, fully metal FLAT-PAK enclosure can be directly screwed to a cabinet or shelf, and optional accessories allow for the mounting of one or multiple modules in a rack cabinet.
