The RDL FP-PA18H is a high-efficiency Class D mono amplifier delivering 18W RMS into 8Ω, engineered for operation in elevated ambient temperatures up to 70°C. Built with high-temperature components and a rugged metal enclosure, the FP-PA18H is ideal for outdoor systems, signage, and industrial installations with limited airflow.
It features a balanced or unbalanced line-level input, 8Ω speaker output, and an analog compressor/limiter that delivers audio fidelity superior to standard digital amplifiers. The compressor enhances average output power while preserving dynamic range, even under input overloads up to 20 dB.
LED indicators display compression activity, output signal presence, and power status. The output signal detector enables external device control or system monitoring. Thermal and short-circuit protection ensure reliable operation, while the Class D output stage minimizes heat generation.
The FP-PA18H is powered by an external 24V DC supply. Note: the included power supply must be installed in environments not exceeding 40°C. The module is also available separately for use with high-temperature power supplies or distributed 24V DC systems.
