Description
RDL FP-NML2V - Dante interface with 2 microphone/line outputs and VCA control, FLAT-PAK series
The RDL FP-NML2V is a Dante audio interface from Radio Design Labs with built-in VCA level control, allowing connection of devices with microphone or line inputs to the Dante network, including standard power amplifiers and mixing amplifiers. The device is designed for rack enclosures, technical rooms, conference tables, shelves, and mounting panels in commercial and industrial installations. The interface converts 2 Dante channels to professional balanced line outputs of +4dBu (at -18dBFS), enabling it to drive commercial devices without additional amplification. Each output has an independent VCA circuit, controlled by a voltage of 0-10V DC or a resistance of 0-10kΩ, with a attenuation range from 0 to over 90dB. Outputs can be controlled by separate remote panels or one common panel - RDL offers passive and multi-position rotary controls with and without mute. A recessed MIC/LINE switch at each output introduces a 50dB attenuation, allowing the powering of a microphone input on a mixing amplifier. The noise level is over 80dB lower than the working level, the headroom exceeds 18dB, and crosstalk is maintained below the noise level. The FP-NML2V is powered by an external 24V DC power supply (available separately), and a pass-through DC socket with an extension cable allows sharing the power supply with RDL FLAT-PAK amplifiers. A PoE powered variant is offered as a separate model FP-NML2VP. The completely metal housing, designed and manufactured in the USA for continuous operation, allows for free-standing, surface, or rack mounting. The product is covered by a 7-year manufacturer's warranty.
