Niveo Professional NVMSX550U is a multimode SFP (Mini-GBIC) 1000Base-SX fiber optic module for Gigabit Ethernet transmission. It complies with the IEEE 802.3z Gigabit Ethernet standard and the Fiber Channel standards 100-M5-SN-I and 100-M6-SN-I. It operates at a wavelength of 850nm and works with multimode fibers of 50/125µm and 62.5/125µm connected via an LC duplex connector. The standard SFP housing and hot-pluggable capability allow for quick installation or replacement of the module in a switch without shutting down the network. The module is suitable for connecting switches, expanding network infrastructure in AV and IT installations, and in storage systems.
The module features symmetrical LVPECL inputs and outputs and a TTL signal detection indicator. The Class 1 laser complies with EN 60825-1 and FDA 21 CFR 1040.10 and 1040.11. All regulations are factory-complied, so the module requires no maintenance or adjustments by the user.
