The Niveo Professional NRS8P is a compact, unmanaged Gigabit Ethernet switch with 8 RJ45 10/100/1000Mbps ports with PoE+ power and 2 RJ45 10/100/1000Mbps uplink ports. The device powers surveillance systems, teleconferencing, wireless access points, and other network devices directly through the LAN cable. The switch complies with IEEE 802.3af/at standards and delivers up to 30W per port with a total PoE power of up to 120W. It automatically detects PoE devices and supplies power to them without the risk of damaging non-PoE devices. The PoE power priority, enabled by default, decreases from port 1 to port 8. All ports support automatic MDI/MDIX, self-negotiation of 10/100/1000Mbps speeds, full-duplex switching, and IEEE 802.3x flow control (full-duplex) and backpressure (half-duplex). The DIP switch allows you to select one of three operating modes. The VLAN mode isolates PoE ports 1-8 from each other and allows them to communicate only with the uplink ports. The default mode ensures communication for all ports up to 100m. The Extend mode forces a speed of 10Mbps on ports 7-8 and extends the transmission range to 250m. With a throughput of 20Gbps, performance of 14.88Mpps, and a 2K MAC address table, it ensures efficient network operation. The metal housing, electrostatically painted with bidirectional heat dissipation, is sturdy and durable.
