Niveo Professional NGSME8F2xu is a fully managed PoE++ switch with L2/L3 layer features, equipped with 8 RJ45 100M/1G/2.5G ports and 2 SFP+ 1G/2.5G/10G slots. The RJ45 ports support the IEEE 802.3bz NBASE-T standard, achieving speeds of 2.5G over Cat.5e cable - significantly more than typical Gigabit switches. PoE power compliant with IEEE 802.3af/at/bt delivers up to 90W per port, allowing the switch to power even energy-hungry devices such as touch panels, Wi-Fi access points, or IP cameras. The PoE awareness feature checks if the connected device is compliant with IEEE 802.3af/at/bt, and if not, it only transmits data to it. The switch is suitable for medium and large networks, AV installations, monitoring, and modern wireless networks.
The non-blocking switching matrix of 80Gbps allows all 2.5G and 10G ports to transmit data without loss. The 10G SFP+ slots serve as uplink ports: they allow network expansion from 1G to 10G, connecting another 10G switch, servers, or workstations, and also grouping 10G ports into a trunk for higher bandwidth. The management package includes up to 4K VLAN 802.1Q networks, Q-in-Q, Voice VLAN, QoS with 8 queues, IPv4/IPv6 multicast filtering, RSTP and MSTP protocols, LACP, LLDP, static routing, and DHCP server for VLAN. Security is ensured by HTTPS and SSH, binding MAC addresses to ports, 802.1X access control, AAA authentication with RADIUS and TACACS+, and L2/L3/L4 ACL lists. The PD Alive Check function periodically checks the powered device by IP address. If the device does not respond, the switch restarts the port power. The frequency and number of attempts, as well as the restart time, can be set in the web panel. The EEE function reduces power consumption when there is no traffic on the connected port.
