Niveo Professional NGSM4T12 is a fully managed L2/L3 switch with 12 SFP+ slots for 1G/2.5G/5G/10G and 4 RJ45 ports for 10/100/1000Mbps. The non-blocking switching matrix of 248Gbps allows all 10G and Gigabit ports to transmit data without loss. This switch is designed for core network roles in medium to large installations. It enables network expansion from 1G to 10G, connecting other 10G switches, servers, and devices with 10G interfaces, as well as grouping 10G ports into trunk groups for higher bandwidth. It serves well as a core or aggregating switch in AV, monitoring, and IT installations.
The management package includes up to 4K VLAN 802.1Q networks, Q-in-Q, Voice VLAN, QoS with 8 queues, IPv4/IPv6 multicast filtering with IGMP and MLD Snooping, RSTP and MSTP protocols, LACP, LLDP, loop protection, static routing, and IEEE 1588v2 PTP. Security is ensured by HTTPS and SSH, MAC address binding to ports, 802.1X access control, AAA authentication with RADIUS and TACACS+ servers, and L2/L3/L4 ACL lists. The EEE function reduces power consumption when there is no traffic on the connected port. Out-of-band management is provided via the CLI console port, while in-band management is done through SNMP and the Web GUI interface. The metal housing with a built-in power supply allows the switch to be placed on a desk or mounted in a rack.
