The KME IPS 12 W is the white version of the passive 2-way speaker column from the Fisco series by the German manufacturer Klingenthaler Musikelektronik (KME). It is designed for venues that require high sound levels and full sound. The 12" woofer works with a 1" compression driver with a 1.4" voice coil, mounted in a rotating horn waveguide with an elliptical exit. The dispersion angle of 85°x55° can be adjusted for horizontal or vertical mounting. With an efficiency of 97dB and a maximum SPL of 122dB, it provides a significant headroom, and the frequency response down to 60Hz delivers strong bass even without a subwoofer. The power handling is 350W (AES) and 700W (program). The column can operate as a full-range system or as the upper section of a system with a subwoofer. The symmetrical design and integrated hardware allow for connecting columns in horizontal and vertical clusters. Natural, clear sound, smooth high frequencies, and low susceptibility to acoustic feedback make it suitable for live music and speech reinforcement. The column is intended for multifunctional halls, entertainment venues, theaters, and smaller sports facilities, and its white color allows it to blend discreetly into bright interiors. Neutrik Speakon NL4 and Phoenix connectors, a robust grille with acoustic foam, an IP44 protection rating, and resistance to ball impacts according to DIN 18032-3 ensure durability. An optional 100V transformer allows operation in public address systems.
