The KME ILS 64 B is the black version of the passive 2-way speaker column from the Fisco series by the German manufacturer Klingenthaler Musikelektronik (KME), designed for permanent installations. Six 4" speakers work with a high-frequency section consisting of six 1" drivers arranged in an asymmetrically curved array. This design creates an asymmetrical acoustic beam in the vertical plane (+5°/-20°). The column reaches sound far and also handles the near field well, ensuring that listeners in the front and back rows hear similarly. The sound is natural, clear, and full-range, while the high rear radiation damping limits reflections from the wall behind the column and enhances speech intelligibility. The power handling is 350W (AES) and 700W (program), with a sensitivity of 92dB and a maximum SPL of 118dB. The column can be mounted vertically using integrated M8 points on the top, back, and bottom, and can be suspended with optional hardware. Neutrik Speakon NL4 and Phoenix connectors facilitate permanent installation. A durable grille with acoustic foam, an IP44 protection rating, and resistance to ball impacts according to DIN 18032-3 make the column suitable for sports halls as well. An optional 100V transformer (100W) allows it to be integrated into a public address system. The black finish is ideal for theaters, stages, and dark interiors where the column should remain inconspicuous.
