IB 8 W

KME IB 8 W - passive installation subwoofer 8" bass-reflex in a wedge-shaped enclosure, 200W AES, 8Ω, IP44, white

The KME IB 8 W is the white version of the ultra-compact passive installation subwoofer from the Fisco series by the German manufacturer Klingenthaler Musikelektronik (KME). It complements low frequencies in systems based on KME ICS 1, ICS 2, and ICS 4 speakers. The 8" neodymium speaker in a bass-reflex enclosure provides deep bass from 48Hz, with an efficiency of 95dB and a maximum SPL of 121dB. The power handling is 200W (AES) and 400W (program), with an impedance of 8Ω. The wedge-shaped enclosure allows the subwoofer to be mounted on a wall, ceiling, or in a corner. This way, the subwoofer does not take up floor space, and in white color, it almost disappears on light walls and ceilings. The omnidirectional low-frequency radiation helps achieve even bass throughout the room, without a clearly audible source. This is a good solution for background sound in restaurants, cafes, conference rooms, and museums, where compact speakers need support in the lower range. Neutrik Speakon NL4 and Phoenix connectors facilitate permanent installation, while the sturdy grille with acoustic foam and an IP44 protection rating ensure durability. Optionally, the subwoofer can be ordered in a version with increased moisture resistance or in any RAL color.
