IB 8 B

KME IB 8 B - passive installation subwoofer 8" bass-reflex in wedge enclosure, 200W AES, 8Ω, IP44, black

The KME IB 8 B is a black, passive installation subwoofer from the Fisco series by the German manufacturer Klingenthaler Musikelektronik (KME). It is designed to extend the low-frequency range in systems based on KME ICS 1, ICS 2, and ICS 4 speakers. The 8" neodymium speaker operates in a bass-reflex enclosure and provides deep bass from 48Hz, with an efficiency of 95dB and a maximum SPL of 121dB. The power handling is 200W (AES) and 400W (program), with an impedance of 8Ω. The compact wedge-shaped enclosure allows the subwoofer to be mounted on a wall, ceiling, or in a corner, so it does not take up floor space and can be easily hidden in interior arrangements. The omnidirectional low-frequency radiation helps achieve even bass throughout the room. The subwoofer performs well in background sound reinforcement in restaurants, conference rooms, and museums, where compact full-range speakers need support in the lower range. Neutrik Speakon NL4 and Phoenix connectors facilitate permanent installation, and the durable grille with acoustic foam and an IP44 protection rating ensure durability. Optionally, the subwoofer can be ordered in a version with increased moisture resistance or in any RAL color.
