Intusonic INTUGRID™ HMA72 - audio matrix 8x2

The Intusonic INTUGRID™ HMA72 is the central module of a digitally controlled zone and paging system from Intusonic, working in conjunction with the HZE11 wall panel and the HPA41 call station. This set creates a scalable platform for signal distribution for background sound and voice announcements, designed for professional AV installations such as commercial, educational, office, or public utility spaces. The HMA72 offers an extensive set of audio inputs, priority functions, flexible zone management, and intuitive operation while maintaining high signal quality.

The device provides two microphone inputs on 3.5mm jacks with sensitivity adjustment from the front panel and the ability to activate phantom power from the back. There are also five line inputs available, including four unbalanced stereo RCA and one balanced FOH 1/4" jack input with gain control. The front panel is equipped with an additional 3.5mm TRS input, and the built-in LINKOUSTIC™ 4.2 module allows for wireless audio signal transmission. This enables signals from various sources to be easily directed to two output zones, with independent processing and configuration for each.

Each output zone is equipped with level control, a 100Hz high-pass filter, a 2-band equalizer, volume settings for paging and emergency announcements, microphone priority selection, and the ability to switch between stereo and mono operation. Operation can be done from the front panel with a 2x8 character display and encoder, via an IR remote, or through the HZE11 wall panel, which additionally offers local signal input and full control of zone parameters.

The system also supports safety functions, including an emergency input that replaces the main signal with an adjustable alarm signal and a mute output that silences zones in emergency situations. The HPA41 - a compatible paging station - allows for announcements to selected zones or groups of zones and also utilizes an internal gong generator programmable in EEPROM memory.

The HMA72 operates on an internal switching power supply and is housed in a metal enclosure with detachable mounting brackets, making it easy to install in 19’’ RACK cabinets or in non-standard equipment setups. Together, it creates a flexible and exceptionally functional audio zone management system, developed for integration companies that require stability, signal clarity, and intuitive control in permanent sound installations.
