Atlas Z4-B - 4-zone High Definition acoustic system for sound masking and BGM
The Atlas Z4-B is a professional, four-zone High Definition acoustic system designed as a comprehensive all-in-one solution for sound masking, speech privacy, background music playback, and paging. The system has been developed for commercial and institutional applications such as open space offices, medical facilities, administrative buildings, customer service centers, and conference rooms, where controlling the acoustic environment is crucial.
The Z4-B model offers a configuration of 4 zones with a total power of 120W (4×30W) in a 70V/100V system. It allows operation in various installation modes, including as a four-zone sound masking system for intermediate fields, a two-zone sound masking system for direct fields, or a mixed installation combining sound masking with background music and paging. This approach enables designers and integrators to flexibly adapt the system to the architectural layout and acoustic characteristics of the specific facility.
The device can be mounted in a wall, surface-mounted, or in a rack, facilitating integration with existing AV infrastructure. All wiring and installation equipment are located behind a secured front panel, allowing for centralized connection management without the need for additional enclosures or cabinets. An integrated display on the front panel enables system configuration and subsequent operation by the end user.
The Atlas Z4-B comes factory-equipped with a set of sound masking presets developed by Dr. Bob Chanaud, a recognized expert in acoustic masking. These presets can be selected based on the type of installation, and additional configurations can be created in dedicated PC software and uploaded to the device via a USB port located on the front panel.
In conference applications, the system offers a Speech Privacy Enhancement mode that increases the level of acoustic energy in the surrounding space during meetings, enhancing the privacy of conversations. Activation of this mode can be done via a wired switch, a mobile app for iOS® or Android®, or an optional wireless desktop or wall switch. An optional visual indicator is also available to inform users of the active enhanced privacy mode.
