Theory Audio Design DLC-1500.8d is an advanced 8-channel speaker controller with an integrated power amplifier, designed for professional AV installations, sound reinforcement systems, and distributed audio systems. The device delivers a total power of up to 6000W in a compact 2U rack enclosure, while offering advanced DSP features, support for network audio Dante and AES67, and flexible configuration options for low-impedance and high-voltage systems.
DLC-1500.8d can work with both low-impedance speakers and 70V or 100V installations without the need for additional output transformers. With support for Dante and AES67, users can transmit audio signals over an IP network, simplifying the design and implementation of complex audio systems and reducing the need for traditional analog cabling.
The device is equipped with an advanced DSP processor that allows for optimization of the sound reinforcement system. Available features include a mixing matrix, signal routing, automatic source prioritization, ducking function, parametric equalizers, crossovers, level adjustments, delays, and RMS and Peak limiters. Additionally, factory processing settings are available for all Theory Audio Design speaker models.
Device configuration is done via a built-in web interface accessible over Ethernet or through an integrated Wi-Fi access point. This allows installers to quickly configure the system without the need to install additional software. The manufacturer also provides an API and integration modules for popular control systems, enabling easy integration with advanced AV and automation installations.
