The RDL TX-TPS3A is an active, three-pair audio transmission module from Radio Design Labs, designed to work with RDL Format-A devices for signal transmission over twisted pair. The module accepts signals from 3 line-level sources. Each can be connected to an unbalanced RCA jack (-10dBV) or to a balanced input on a detachable terminal block (+4dBu). Precision studio-grade buffer amplifiers deliver signals to pairs A, B, and C of the RJ45 output with the appropriate operating level, utilizing all three signal pairs of the Format-A cable. No other transmission modules can be connected to the same cable. The TX-TPS3A can be powered locally from 24V DC via a power jack or terminal block, or remotely via twisted pair cable from another module, signal splitter, or RDL power supply. Local power is passed to modules connected to the output, and a self-resetting fuse protects the installation from wiring errors. Active balanced circuits provide a wide frequency response of 10Hz-50kHz and low THD+N distortion below 0.005%. The device comes with a 7-year manufacturer's warranty.
