The RDL RU-SC2 is a professional-grade serial converter designed for full-duplex communication between RS-232 devices over long distances. It converts RS-232 signals to RS-422, enabling reliable bidirectional data transmission in AV and control system environments.
The RS-232 input is located on the front panel for easy access during setup and diagnostics. RS-422 and power connections are located on the rear panel via full-size, clearly labeled barrier block terminals.
Two RU-SC2 units can be connected using two pairs of balanced twisted-pair cable to extend RS-232 communication far beyond the limitations of standard serial cabling. This makes the RU-SC2 ideal for linking remote AV controllers, DSPs, projectors, routers, or automation systems.
