Niveo Professional NMC220PS is a compact Gigabit Ethernet media converter with PoE+ power functionality. It has one RJ45 10/100/1000BaseT port that powers the connected device according to IEEE 802.3at (PoE+), and one SFP 1000Base-X slot for 1000Base-SX, LX, LHX, or BX modules. This allows you to extend the network via fiber optic to a remote location and power, for example, an IP camera, access point, or other PoE+ device without a separate power supply. The converter is compliant with IEEE 802.3 10BaseT, 802.3u 100BaseTX, 802.3ab 1000BaseT, and 802.3z 1000BaseSX/LX standards, with a throughput of 2000Mbps in full duplex mode.
The DIP switch enables LLF (Link Loss Forwarding) and LFP (Link Fault Pass-Through) functions. These transmit information about link loss or error from one side of the converter to the other, facilitating diagnostics and quick fault detection in the network. The RJ45 port supports full duplex mode, Auto-MDI/MDI-X, and Auto-Negotiation, while Jumbo frame support of 9.6K enhances the transmission of large packets. The compact housing makes it easy to install in racks, junction boxes, and distribution points for AV, monitoring, and IT installations.
