Description
Theory Audio Design PLC-8K8 - 8-channel speaker controller with Dante/AES67
Theory Audio Design PLC-8K8 is a professional 8-channel speaker controller with a built-in amplifier, designed for advanced AV installations, commercial sound systems, sports venues, conference rooms, performance spaces, and large multi-zone areas. The device combines high output power, advanced DSP processing, and native support for Dante and AES67 protocols, enabling integration with modern Audio over IP systems.
The PLC-8K8 model delivers a total of 8000W of power in a compact 1U rack enclosure, providing exceptionally high power density while maintaining small installation dimensions. Eight amplifier channels allow for the handling of both low-impedance systems and high-voltage 70V and 100V installations. This enables the device to power extensive sound systems utilizing multiple speakers in a single installation.
The controller is equipped with three configurable Gigabit Ethernet ports, including one PoE port. The ports can be configured for audio transmission, control, or both functions simultaneously. Integration with Powersoft Armonia+ software allows for quick design, configuration, and deployment of entire audio systems, while the Powersoft MyUniverso platform enables remote monitoring of operational parameters and installation management.
The advanced 48kHz/24-bit DSP processor provides a complete set of tools necessary for tuning professional sound systems. The manufacturer offers dedicated presets for all Theory Audio Design speaker models, significantly simplifying system configuration and enabling optimal performance parameters.
