Description
Dante Conference and Educational System with Room Automation
A dedicated conference and educational system based on IP network and Dante protocol, designed for modern classrooms, seminar rooms, lecture halls, and auditoriums. The solution ensures high sound quality, intuitive operation, and full automation of the educational room.
The proposed system allows for scaling the number of microphone desks depending on the number of participants, enabling comfortable lectures, seminars, interactive classes, and academic meetings. The system can perform simultaneous translation in up to three languages, which is effective for classes conducted in an international environment.
Microphone desks (TP-BN14) are equipped with built-in speakers and allow for individual selection of the audio signal. Built-in headphone amplifiers enable the connection of personal headphones, enhancing the clarity of the transmission in large or acoustically challenging educational rooms.
The use of IP network communication and the Dante protocol eliminates the need for dedicated audio cabling. All signal transmission occurs over the IP network, simplifying installation and allowing for easy system expansion. It is possible to route any audio signals or their mixes to recording devices, computers performing class streaming, additional sound reinforcement zones, press-boxes (AV-NL4), or hearing assistance systems.
The central element of the system is the processor/matrix HARVEY, combining advanced audio processing functions with educational room automation. The matrix allows for connecting analog and digital audio sources, presenting audio content from instructors' devices, and fully automating class parameters. Various configurations of analog inputs and outputs are available (typically 8x8) along with a 64x64 Dante module.
For larger educational facilities, it is possible to connect multiple matrices in a Hypermatrix structure and manage the entire system from a single software interface. The system allows for creating simple and intuitive interfaces based on local web pages, enabling instructors to control the system from any Android or iOS mobile device.
The HARVEY matrix also allows for integration with educational room automation, including control of blinds and DALI lighting. Supported communication protocols include RS‑232, RS‑485, RS‑422, DMX, TCP/IP, and UDP, enabling the integration of audio, lighting, and space management functions into one cohesive system.
The wall controller RC4 allows for quick selection of pre-programmed presets, such as lecture, presentation, discussion, or hybrid classes, without the need for advanced technical knowledge. The controllers FNIP‑4xSH and OptiLite with the DALI‑2 module operating in the IP network provide control over additional room equipment.
The system can be easily expanded with automated recording and video transmission of classes, as well as control over switching video signals using HDMI matrices or AV over IP systems, enabling hybrid teaching and remote work.
