Multi-zone sound system in the wellness and spa centre

The multi-zone sound system in the wellness and spa centre based on the RDL RU-NMP44 network mixing processor features excellent sound quality, ease of expansion and convenient day-to-day operation. The use of the universal DANTE audio transmission protocol allows the freedom to select the most suitable equipment for the rooms to be publicised.

The RU-NMP44 processor contains six independent mixers, four with DANTE outputs and an additional two with analogue outputs, allowing for independent sound reinforcement of six zones. Parameter settings for the processor and controllers are made using a laptop and the free RDL Console 2.0 software. The system allows four global presets to be stored and easily called up from the D-RC4M wall panel by system users. Digital D-NLC1 panels installed in individual zones allow local volume control.

Audio transmission in the DANTE system ensures reliability and uses a standard LAN. This topology reduces system cabling costs and allows for easy expansion.

For example, with a four-channel Bluesound Professional B400S network player as a music source and the RU-NMP44 processor, it is possible to create six separate zones with independent volume control. There are 4 different music sources available and the player can be operated from any phone, tablet or computer - according to the assigned permissions.

Such a system makes it possible to select, for example, dynamic and motivating music in the gym area and calm and relaxing music in the massage area.

If there is a need for verbal announcements in the facility, one of the input channels is fed with a signal from a DANTE microphone - TDN1 - plugged in anywhere on the network. The processor will automatically mute the music in the specified zones for the duration of the broadcast - ensuring excellent intelligibility of the spoken message.
