EN 17210 is a new European standard that defines accessibility requirements for public construction projects. All projects receiving public funding must ensure accessibility, including the installation of induction loop systems.
A basic induction loop system for a lecture or meeting room typically consists of a V22+ EU induction loop amplifier and a perimeter loop cable (installed around the edges of the room). For larger areas, a phased array loop may be required to ensure consistent coverage.
A sound source, such as UR-270D wireless handheld microphones, is connected to the loop amplifier to transmit clear audio directly to hearing aid users equipped with T-coil functionality.
