Description
RDL FP-CH8 - chime generator with 8 electronic tones
RDL FP-CH8 is a professional electronic chime generator designed for AV communication and signaling systems. It produces eight distinct synthesized chimes, each composed of up to three tones and three harmonics for a natural and pleasant sound. Chime patterns include single strike, double strike, triple strike, tone ring, manual strike, descending triple strike, eurosiren and multi-tone alert.
Each chime is individually triggered by a momentary ground closure. A CONT terminal allows chimes to repeat until released, extending the duration of tone-based chimes (Chimes 4 and 8).
The MUSIC IN input allows background music or paging audio to be connected. When a chime is activated, the music is automatically ducked to a preset level using the front-panel DUCKING trimmer. Ducking depth is adjustable from 0 dB to full mute. The CHIMING indicator lights up during chime playback and music ducking. WAIT and IGNORE terminals are provided to delay or block chime activation.
