RDL D-TPS2AM – Active Two-Pair Sender Format-A with XLR and Mini-Jack Inputs
The RDL D-TPS2AM is an active two-pair audio sender module compatible with Format-A twisted pair systems. Designed for wall or panel mounting, it allows users to connect both a microphone (XLR) and a stereo line-level source (mini-jack), with the stereo signal summed to mono. It is ideal for AV, educational, museum, and commercial installations requiring local audio input over twisted pair cabling.
The XLR input supports both dynamic and condenser microphones, providing 24 V DC phantom power. A studio-grade microphone preamplifier includes a rear-panel GAIN switch (NORM/HIGH) to optimize input levels. The mini-jack input accepts -10 dBV unbalanced stereo signals and is buffered before transmission.
The microphone signal is routed to pair A, while the mini-jack signal is routed to pair B. The module can be powered locally via a terminal block or remotely through the twisted pair cable. A front-panel LED indicates power status. Two RJ45 jacks allow daisy-chaining with other Format-A modules, such as a single-pair sender set to pair C.
The D-TPS2AM is housed in a Decora®-style panel and is available in white (D-TPS2AM), black (DB-TPS2AM), or stainless steel (DS-TPS2AM) finishes.
