RDL ST-PD5U – 24 V DC Power Distributor with Soft-Start Function

The RDL ST-PD5U is a professional power distributor designed for splitting 24 V DC from current-limited switching power supplies. It enables powering up to five modules from a single source, ensuring system stability and protecting AV installations from startup overloads.

With its soft-start feature, the ST-PD5U gradually ramps up voltage, quickly charging load capacitance before switching full voltage to the outputs. If reverse polarity is detected at the input, the unit disconnects the load until the condition is corrected. The distributor can power either floating or ground-referenced modules – but they must not be mixed within a single unit.

ST-PD5U is ideal for professional AV installations where multiple modules are powered from a single supply. It is compatible with RDL’s RACK-UP®, STICK-ON®, Flat-Pak™, and TX™ series products, forming an integral part of audio/video systems.
