Description

MuxLab 500049 - Stereo AV/IR Pass-Thru Balun - Composite Video, Stereo Audio & IR over UTP

The MuxLab 500049 is a versatile AV balun that allows the transmission of one composite video signal, one stereo audio signal, and one IR emitter signal over a single Cat5e/6 UTP cable in a point-to-point configuration. It simplifies AV installations by combining multiple signals into one structured cabling path, ideal for classrooms, commercial AV systems, home theaters, hospitals, and kiosks.

The unit supports full-range audio (20Hz-20kHz) for high-fidelity applications and includes built-in color-coded cable leads for easy identification and installation. The IR signal is transmitted over the fourth twisted pair, enabling remote control of AV equipment without additional cabling. It is also compatible with third-party IR control systems.
