The system's central unit is a digital automatic mixer based on a DSP processor. A four-channel True Diversity receiver, thanks to the automatic frequency scanning function, finds the free band and automatically synchronises and connects with the transmitters. An automatic mixing algorithm continuously monitors and adjusts the gain level. The system also features a feedback and ambient noise eliminator. Four microphones can be connected to the unit. It is possible to expand the system to handle 20 microphones by connecting 5 units together in master/slave mode. Various types of microphones can be connected to the WAM-420 system: gooseneck, surface or handheld.

Wireless conference system WDC-903

A system that is suitable for larger numbers of participants and when there is a need to manage the assigned voice. The WDC-903 system's central unit is capable of handling 148 delegate microphone units and 2 for chairmen. A maximum of 5 microphones can be active at the same time. The WDC-903 system is equipped with a Dante interface.

A noteworthy feature is the automatic activation of the microphone desks when the central unit is switched on, which, with dozens of desks, reduces the system's start-up time. A major advantage of this system is the conference modes that allow the management of the assigned voice; either automatically or from the chairman's microphone desk.

WDC-903 vs WAM 402 - which system to choose?

Comparing the selected parameters with each other, it can be seen that the biggest differentiator is the maximum number of microphones that can be connected to the unit. This feature may determine the application of the system. However, this does not mean that the WDC-903 system will not be suitable for smaller installations. The system is versatile and can be used for both larger and intimate meetings. Conference modes, long-lasting rechargeable batteries and a Dante interface are undoubtedly additional features that set the system apart.

In the case of the WAM-402 system, a major advantage contributing to ease of use is the automatic gain control function. Together with the automatic synchronisation of the receiver with the transmitters, this system is ready for use once connected to the power supply and does not require a person to operate it. Noise cancellation, activation and muting of the microphones, as well as gain control, is performed by the DSP.
